Celebrating Wednesday's #4

Welcome back to week four of Celebrating Wednesday's. So we've had some interesting ones so far, but I think you're really going to like this weeks offering.

This week we are celebrating 'Stay Home Because You're Well Day'. Yes, you did read that correctly, Stay Home Because You're Well. How good is that? Now, I'm not suggesting you phone your boss and say, 'Sorry, I won't be in today, because Little Orange Dog, told me it's Stay at Home Because You're Well day.' Please, whatever you do, do not do that, I absolutely do not want a shed load of comments from angry bosses berating me because their healthy staff have taken the day off.

Just Smelling the Potatoes

Well another weekend has gone, but it's been an interesting one. Note the word, interesting, rather than exciting.

We didn't really do an awful lot. Miss. D wasn't feeling very well and hadn't been most of the week, Miss. L had her heart set on hibernating for the weekend, and I was still under the weather with the germs the teachers kindly shared with me the previous week. Suffice to say, the weekend was mostly spent indoors.

Hard Work and Play Dates

Hello. I have pinched Mummy's laptop again while she is doing boring people stuff. I so glad  I not a people. Them is always having to do something.

Sometimes I try to help Mummy do her jobs. I bark at the the standy up thing that the clothes go on. Her put on the clothes and then push something called iron over clothes and then they look nice. I think that my barking helps, it makes iron scared so it goes faster!

Not So Bad Friend

So a little while ago, I told you all about 'Bad Friend'. If you missed it, you can catch up here. Anyway, you may remember that she had an absolute ball whilst I was being accosted by a chap who has taken a bit of a shine to me. Instead of rescuing me, she sat in her car laughing away and hence earning herself the title of  'Bad Friend'.

Celebrating Wednesday's #3

These Wednesday's do come around quickly don't they (precisely once every seven days)! So here we are again celebrating this Wednesday.

I have to be honest and say that I have been dreading writing this one, and that is putting it mildly. You see a lot of days have more than one celebration, but this week there is just one and well, not wanting to be unfair to it, but on the face of it, it's not the most exciting day in the world.

Don't Grow Up

After a reasonably productive weekend, I suddenly found myself struggling to write anything. I've got a list of things and an already started draft, but nothing was really shouting 'Write about me!', so I drank tea, nursed my cold, cuddled up with my dog and joined in a linky, as you do.

When I got back from work, I was still stumped. I am blaming the cold, painful sinuses are not conducive to creativity, or so it would appear. However, after a second dose of Sudafed and a dog walk (during a brief period of sunshine on an otherwise cold, wet and windy day), I was starting to feel much better. There were even a few new ideas floating about in the empty space between my ears where, pre-children a brain had resided.

Boys are Best!

Yes, I know that title could be considered a tad controversial (though I can see all the boys whooping with joy), but bear with me.

No, I am not alluding to my sexuality, though to confirm (if you were in any doubt) I do like men. I am talking about friends, you see I am not a girly girl! Honestly. I know that will come as something of a shock to some of you, but whilst the exterior is very cute and feminine, the inside has more in common with the boys. It's no good, however hard I try, I just do not get 'girls'. Yes I went to an all girls' school, but most of my friends growing up were boys and I still prefer male friends, they're just easier, less work and a lot more fun. Don't get me wrong, I have friends who are female and they're lovely, but the ones I get on with most are the less 'pink' girls.
